The Salem Public Library Bookmobile is dedicated to providing access to information, recreational reading material and ideas to that portion of the reading public who do not have ready access to a library facility due to a variety of barriers, including time, expense, transportation, geography, institutionalization, or handicap. The staff encourages the positive aspects of recreational as well as educational reading and considers the needs and interests of each individual patron. The bookmobile provides a convenient, non-threatening, and non-judgmental atmosphere for readers of all ages.
